Ingredients of Dum Aloo Shot

  1. It's of 👉FOR ALOO PREPARATION:- 10 baby potatoes.
  2. You need 2 cups of water, or as required.
  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp of salt.
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of kashmiri chilli powder.
  5. Prepare 4 tbsp of oil.
  6. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric.
  7. You need of 👉FOR MASALA PASTE / GRAVY:- 1 inch cinnamon stick.
  8. It's 3 of cloves.
  9. You need 2 of cardamom.
  10. It's 1/2 of onion, thinly sliced.
  11. It's 3/4 tsp of ginger-garlic paste.
  12. You need 1 of large tomato, finely chopped.
  13. You need 10 of cashews.
  14. It's of 👉FOR DUM ALOO RECIPE:- 1 tsp oil.
  15. It's 3/4 tsp of cumin seeds.
  16. It's 1-1,1/2 tsp of chilli powder, adjust to your spice level.
  17. You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  18. It's 3/4 tsp of coriander powder.
  19. You need to taste of salt.
  20. You need 1/4 cup of curd.
  21. You need 1 tsp of kasuri methi.
  22. You need 1 cup of water, adjust to required.
  23. It's As required of coriander leaves, finely chopped.

Dum Aloo Shot step by step

  1. Firstly, pressure cook baby potatoes with 2 cups of water and salt. pressure cook for 1-2 whistle..
  2. Allow the potatoes to cool. then peel off the skin from the potatoes. prick all over the potatoes well with fork..
  3. Than deep fry boiled potatoes. Frying till they turn golden brown. approx. 3-5 minutes. then keep the fried aloos aside..
  4. Gravy--- Take pan, add oil, add spices like cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. saute till they turn fragrant..
  5. Next add in sliced onions and saute till they turn translucent. now add ginger-garlic paste and continue to fry. once the raw smell on ginger-garlic disappears, add chopped tomatoes and saute till they turn soft..
  6. Also add few cashews and saute. turn off the flame. once the mixture is cooled, blend to smooth paste without adding water..
  7. DUM ALOO Recipe:- Take Pan, add a tsp of oil along with cumin seeds. once cumin seeds splutter, add prepared masala paste and fry for 5-6 minutes..
  8. Now add spices like chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. continue to fry till oil separates. turn the flame to low and add curd. Give a good mix..
  9. Add 1 cup of water or as required to adjust the consistency..
  10. Finally, add fried aloos and cook for 20 min. lastly add some crushed kasuri methi. garnish with coriander leaves and serve dum aloo hot with rice, chapathi or naan..
