Ingredients of Dum Aloo Shot

- You need 2 cups of water, or as required.

- It's 1/2 of onion, thinly sliced.
- It's 3/4 tsp of ginger-garlic paste.
- You need 1 of large tomato, finely chopped.
- You need 10 of cashews.

- It's 3/4 tsp of cumin seeds.
- It's 1-1,1/2 tsp of chilli powder, adjust to your spice level.
- You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- It's 3/4 tsp of coriander powder.
- You need to taste of salt.
- You need 1/4 cup of curd.
- You need 1 tsp of kasuri methi.
- You need 1 cup of water, adjust to required.

Dum Aloo Shot step by step
- Firstly, pressure cook baby potatoes with 2 cups of water and salt. pressure cook for 1-2 whistle..
- Allow the potatoes to cool. then peel off the skin from the potatoes. prick all over the potatoes well with fork..
- Than deep fry boiled potatoes. Frying till they turn golden brown. approx. 3-5 minutes. then keep the fried aloos aside..
- Gravy--- Take pan, add oil, add spices like cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. saute till they turn fragrant..
- Next add in sliced onions and saute till they turn translucent. now add ginger-garlic paste and continue to fry. once the raw smell on ginger-garlic disappears, add chopped tomatoes and saute till they turn soft..
- Also add few cashews and saute. turn off the flame. once the mixture is cooled, blend to smooth paste without adding water..
- DUM ALOO Recipe:- Take Pan, add a tsp of oil along with cumin seeds. once cumin seeds splutter, add prepared masala paste and fry for 5-6 minutes..
- Now add spices like chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. continue to fry till oil separates. turn the flame to low and add curd. Give a good mix..
- Add 1 cup of water or as required to adjust the consistency..
- Finally, add fried aloos and cook for 20 min. lastly add some crushed kasuri methi. garnish with coriander leaves and serve dum aloo hot with rice, chapathi or naan..
