Iz's Seriously Good Chili. This is super simple but it tastes so good and pairs well with the chili. Pic at the point in cook when beans are added. looks good to me, i like most types of chilis. have not done one with tomatoes or beans in a long time, maybe this weekend. It's now a staple on the Autumn and Winter menu calendars.
So i decided to make some chili , and upload it unedited !!! Now its not what you think i was not looking for the easy way out to post a vid ! This is seriously good chili ! You can cook Iz's Seriously Good Chili using 11 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

- Prepare 1 medium of onion, chopped.
- Prepare 1 lb of ground chuck.
- It's 1 lb of ground pork.

- Prepare 1 cup of water.
- It's 1 of chili powder.
And you can cook it seriously quick ! In the first episode of I'm Cookin' This, I show you how to make the world's objectively best bowl of Chili! Making this chili made me appreciate freshly toasted and ground spices more. It's even better when paired with a side of buttermilk cornbread!
Iz's Seriously Good Chili step by step
- Place onion, pork, and beef into large heavy pot. I use my dutch oven. Brown on low heat. I don't drain, I am not looking for some low fat pansy stuff - I want chili!.
- Dice up the roma tomatoes and add them in. Cook tomatoes down a bit..
- Put in beans and chilies. No...I don't rinse. Refer to step one for reason..
- Add tomato sauce and water. If you like thick chili add less. Thinner? You can figure it out....
- Finally the chili powder. First unscrew the lid, pull off that plastic piece with the holes and throw that in the trashcan. Next put some chili powder in. Don't be afraid of it, it's your friend. See picture for approximate amount..
- Pop a beer and settle down. This needs to simmer for a while. 60 minutes minimum. Add water or beer to maintain desired thickness. Throw a lid on it if you prefer. Oh and this gives you plenty of time to get those grilled cheeses made..
Do you believe it's better to use a darker beer for chili as apposed to a lighter beer? I wanna upvote this more than I can. OP seriously this is the best chili I've ever had/made, I cook it monthly. This chili is PACKED with flavor. Best fall chili recipe by far.
